David Soul—beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother—passed away on January 4, 2024, after a valiant battle for life in the loving company of family. He shared many extraordinary gifts in the world as actor, singer, storyteller, creative artist, and dear friend. His smile, laughter, and passion for life will be remembered by the many whose lives he has touched.

So very sorry to learn this sad news and send deepest condolences to all David’s family and friends.
I first became a fan of his watching Starsky and Hutch, I had the books and the annuals and David’s poster on my wall.
In 1980/81 I was lucky enough to see David in concert.
I can’t quite believe that he has gone.

So very saddened over the loss of a good man, David Soul. I want to express my deepest heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers to his dear wife Helen, his dear family, and his friends. “In His grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.” (Romans 12:6) Thank you David for sharing your many gifts which you gave with such passion. Those gifts have been mentioned so eloquently by Helen and by the many fans in these comments. Besides the talents displayed on the screen and stage, thank you David for your giving heart in your humanitarian efforts and in your work in protecting the animal kingdom. You have competed well. You have finished the race. You have kept the faith. May you now rest in peace in the glory of God.
What can I say when words do fail me? David has left a painful void in my heart and the hearts of so many people.

Started watching S & H as a teenager. Was always a Starsky girl but eventually realised apart from anything else, it was the lovely relationship between David and Paul that made me love the show and following them both once the show finished. I didn’t get the chance to meet David but followed him. What a lovely man he was, kind, caring and also down to earth. I hope he finds peace and that his family eventually remember the good times and also find peace. My thoughts are with David’s family and also Paul and family. God bless.

I grew up watching Starsky and Hutch. Starsky was actually my favorite. But as I grew up and noticed the contributions David Soul made to various things here and there over the years and I thought, WOW.
I downloaded America from his website and shared it with others. That was just an example of His underlying gifts he brought to others which was phenomenal.
He had a gift for humanity … his Soul indeed reached out to the world.
He will be missed.

I came to be an admirer of David later in life, being unaware of his many gifts and humanitarian ways until I started looking into his life. So many of my friends commented on how my husband looked just like David Soul when young, so I had to check it out after my husband passed away. I was so impressed with David. He was an amazingly natural actor, with such a beautiful singing voice too. His background was so interesting- he led such an amazing life, getting through the lows as well as the highs with grace and humor. I was inspired by his stage work, his readings, his podcasts, etc. I loved his interest in humanitarian causes and animals. And besides all that he had founded a large and caring family. He was simply one of the most talented and inspirational celebrities I had ever followed. I feel very sad he has passed away now, as he is a loss to the world. To his family I extend my condolences and love. Thank you all for sharing him with us. We will never forget him.

David’s genuine character, humanity, kindness, caring and humor were experienced and treasured by anyone who ever had the joy and privilege of meeting him and getting to know him. May God bless Helen and all of David’s family and friends who are facing this difficult time, but who will carry David in their hearts always. I am absolutely devastated to hear of David’s passing. It’s so difficult to put into words the impact he has had on me. He was an inspiration and truthfully my hero. He was fearless and was never afraid to get his hands dirty. He was a voice for people and animals when they were in need. His plight to make the wrongs right came with sacrifice to himself. His talent was beyond measure. There was no role he couldn’t nail and he had the voice of an angel. His beauty on the inside was encased in the most gorgeous features I have ever seen on any human being. Honestly the most gorgeous man I have ever seen. There will never be another David Soul.
