Voices From the American Heartland: Stories by Peter Orner

WordTheatre® returns to Crazy Coqs with one of the United States’ best writers to present Voices from the Heartland: The Stories of Peter Orner.

Actors David Soul, Ian Hart, Madeline Potter, Rhashan Stone, Emily Bruni, and Damien Molony, accompanied by violin virtuoso Lizzie Ball, illuminate Orner’s emotionally rich, stunning and deeply moving array of shorter-than-short stories.

Sunday, June 9, 2019, from 7 – 8:30 PM
The Crazy Coqs, Live at Zedel
20 Sherwood Street, Downstairs
Soho, London W1F 7 ED, UK

From California to Chicago and from Massachusetts to Southern Africa, Orner brilliantly captures the human experience through the cast of characters whom he brings to life in these singular and universally felt vignettes.

Full of wisdom, beauty, humor, and surprises, Orner’s literary gems have been published in Granta, Paris Review, The New York Times, The Atlantic Monthly, and McSweeney’s. His recent collection, Maggie Brown & Others, is a composite portrait of what it’s like to be a person in the world and the heaviness and lightness that makes up a life. It will be published by Little, Brown and Company this summer. The author will be present.

Produced and directed by WordTheatre® Artistic Director, Cedering Fox.
