David Soul—beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother—passed away on January 4, 2024, after a valiant battle for life in the loving company of family. He shared many extraordinary gifts in the world as actor, singer, storyteller, creative artist, and dear friend. His smile, laughter, and passion for life will be remembered by the many whose lives he has touched.

As a kid in the 70’s Starsky & Hutch was my favorite show so the news of his passing hit me hard. My childhood is disappearing with every heroe that leaves us. I hated the movie with Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller I thought it was garbage. The only good thing about it was an appearance by David and Paul at the end. Thank you David for making my childhood! You will be missed! Prayers to his family!

I was so sad to hear of David’s passing. I had the biggest crush on Hutch when I was a young girl!!! Loved his music as well .RIP
So, so sad to hear of David’s passing. He featured heavily in through my childhood through his role as Ken Hutchinson followed by his talent for writing songs like Silver Lady and Don’t Give Up On Us. Also, he will always be the definitive Ben Mears in Salem’s Lot. Rest in Peace, David, and I thank you for the memories.

I have been unwell and have only just returned to his website after a long period of time to see the extremely saddening news of his passing. His music, his acting and I feel his very person were genuine and heartfelt and although I was never able to meet him in person I believe the world is now a little less brighter now he has gone from it. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends who must have been devastated at his loss but I do hope that with the passing of time their lives with him will be remembered with great fondness and the love in their hearts help to lessen the sadness of their loss.
Remembering David and his contribution to the music, film, and TV world. This world has been made better for having David in it to entertain us. I will never forget the first in person meeting that I had with David, I was a babbling mess, I grabbed ahold of David’s arm and those baby blues and my hazels met and for a split second I was in heaven. I pray for his family and thank you for sharing your beloved David with us for so many years. He is truly and deeply missed each and everyday.
