Summary: Bicycle Pete is a lonely and deranged backwoodsman living rough near the Pennsylvania town of Shade Gap. Out of a perverse idea of love, he kidnaps young Peggy Ann Bradnick and takes her deep into the wilderness. Despite her fear, Peggy Ann develops sympathy for the man who has abducted her even as she seeks an escape.
